Mrs Jennifer Tyas Music coordinator – Manor Leas Junior Academy

The introduction of the scheme is going extremely well in school. I have asked a couple of colleagues for some quotes for you to use if needed;

‘It is extremely user friendly.’

‘It engages children of all abilities.’

‘It allows the children to easily take the role of the teacher.’

‘It is a very flexible resource which you can use at your own pace and adapt where necessary.’

‘It is incredibly easy to use and all of the resources are there!’

‘The children really enjoy it!’

“Interact has been a very exciting tool for all Teachers and TAs”

Interact has been a very exciting tool for all Teachers and TAs who have found the activity cards very effective and beneficial. It has also encouraged growth of confidence when delivering the music lessons.

Children have been eager to participate in the music lessons and have enjoyed interactively composing their own music to suit their ideas. It has helped to develop children’s independence in music and peer support when performing, composing and appraising. They have all had an enthusiastic attitude towards their music lessons and are always very keen to demonstrate their ideas.

Overall the schemes have brought a great deal of excitement and inspiration for teachers and children alike.

“ The standard of teaching and learning music have definitely been raised!”

Tower Road Academy has implemented INTERACT throughout the school this academic year.

The staff have enjoyed using the software and like the fact that it is interactive giving the children more ownership over what they are learning.

The children are very motivated and are disappointed when their music lessons end! We all enjoy the cross curricular aspects of the software which in turn promote the children to ask questions.

The standards of teaching and learning music have definitely been raised and we have been pleased with the software and the support we have received from Jeana Hopkins at INTERACT.

“What an experience”

This music scheme was adopted by our Y3/4 children. I am a no music specialist and was a little concerned about the implications of teaching music that involved composing etc. However I need not have had any doubts about this programme it was fantastic especially for the non specialist. The excitement and enthusiasm it created with pupils’ staff and parents alike was unbelievable. The fact that is so accessible and easy to understand combined with its cross curricular links made it a big hit. I can not recommend this programme highly enough.

Year 6 Teacher – Non Music Specialist – Pinchbeck East C of E Primary School

“The scheme is very easy for a non specialist to follow and the cross curricular links have been really effective”.

Interact produced a special drumming program for my class and it has been brilliant! After providing Jeana with an outline of our study unit plan (Native Americans) she produced a fantastic scheme of work for me. The children have really responded to it and have loved personalising the music and playing the drums.

The scheme is very easy for a non specialist to follow and the cross curricular links have been really effective. The resources provided have covered everything I need. Our music has fed into our work on history, art, geography and PSHCE. I would recommend Interact to any school, particularly when a particular curriculum area needs to be covered. Thanks!

Class teachers – Benjamin Adlard Primary School

“The units of work have been carefully planned to show progression and develop musical ability”.

Interact Education has greatly enhanced the music curriculum at Benjamin Adlard School. It has provided our children with a focus to compose, perform and take a lead with their learning. During lessons, the children have been given the opportunity to play a vast variety of musical instruments which have developed confidence and social skills. The units of work have been carefully planned to show progression and develop musical ability. Regular support has been provided throughout the last three years. The Interact programme has proved to be teacher friendly, child friendly and we wish it every success for the future as it expends its horizons.
